Vector Instruments Compilation CD

Some wit once said "Talking about Music is like Dancing about Architecture" and I heartily agree. How can you describe the sound and feeling of an electric violin tearing into a hot solo with the overdrive cranked up and a wah-wah pedal maxed out? Well you really can’t, so I’m hoping that this CD will open a few ears to the possibilities.

I contacted players from all over Canada who had been using my instruments and asked them to submit a composition to demonstrate the sonic qualities of each instrument.

To be honest I was quite taken aback by the quality and virtuosity of the selections that were submitted. In fact there were so many that a Volume 2 is definitely in the works.

All instruments are single tracked, no overdubs were used to thicken or enhance the sounds. Where you hear multiple instruments it is a delay or chorus effect that is being used.

The sound samples were all recorded in the players’ living rooms through various effects pedals into a Roland VS-840GX Digital Recorder.
